Welcome to Wednesday

Good Morning Everyone!

As we rapidly approach the end of the year, it is a good time to start reviewing where we have been, what we have done, and where we still need to go. Hope this helps you get started on your review:

REVIEW

Thoughts

In today’s message let’s take a little time to review the core values of Vandenack Weaver. They are this company’s core values; the principles that should guide all actions of a company; they serve as the cultural cornerstone for a company. Core values should never be compromised.

I will briefly address each one:

PEOPLE – human beings, men, women, and children, making up a group or assembly or linked by a common interest. This includes co-workers and clients and each and every one of them is important and unique and entitled to respect and dignity.

EXCELLENCE – being able to perform at a high level over and over again. Excellence is a habit.   It is the result of always striving to do better.

SERVICE – the action of helping or doing work for someone. Always go above and beyond to provide more and better service than is expected of you, no matter what your task may be.

COMMUNITY – a group living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common; a feeling of fellowship with others as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. We understand that our achievements depend upon a community of individuals working together.

INNOVATION – he introduction of new things, ideas, or ways of doing something. Innovation is about every day, every week, every month, making something a little bit better.

WELLNESS – a lifestyle, a way of living, the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit – the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.

ACCOUNTABILITY – each person is responsible for their actions, behavior, performance, and decisions. Accountability increases the skills, confidence, and performance of the team members.

INDUSTRY FOREFRONT – If you are in the forefront, you are in the most noticeable position. Things are constantly changing and developing. You need to change and develop with them.

DIVERSITY – understanding that each individual is unique and recognizing their individual differences. When we combine our differences and recognize them, we become stronger. We become more efficient and more productive. We build on each other’s strengths and support each other’s weaknesses.

INTEGRITY – being honest and having strong moral and ethical principles. Keep your word; deliver on your promises. Keep your commitments. Pay attention to your environment. Stay focused.  Surround yourself with honest people. Take responsibility and see things through. Respect your those you work with and those you work for.

Bringing it Home

These are admirable values, not only for a company, but for each of us as individuals. They are more than words on a signature block. We review them often and stay focused on achieving our goals.

Have a great rest of the week. Happy Fall!
